Good Afternoon Building Trades leaders:
We have two updates for you today.
First, NABTU President Sean McGarvey wants to share with you a memo regarding the new acting NLRB General Counsel's dismissal of the NLRB challenge to PLAs.
As you know, President Biden fired the NLRB’s General Counsel on January 20, just hours after taking office. NABTU’s General Counsel immediately requested that the new NLRB Acting General Counsel withdraw the complaint. As you will read in the memo, President McGarvey is pleased to report that we've been informed that the new Acting General Counsel is withdrawing the complaint, and that an Order dismissing the case will be issued today.
Second, as we do each month, we have put together information to support your work in the February Communications and Marketing Toolkit.
This toolkit contains key departmental updates, helpful online tools, instructions on how to make a Tradeswomen Heroes nomination, and sample social media posts and graphics. Thank you to the Council leaders who joined us for the monthly call last week.
