Goodbye Three Rivers Stadium

February 11, 20001 was a day many Pittsburghers will always remember. It was the day that the old Three Rivers Stadium was imploded, making way for the newly constructed Heinz Field. Heinz Field was built by the unions, and is still a beautiful addition to our wonderful city! What many don't know is that the Local 373's Business Manager and agents, along with leaders from the Laborers District Council, fought hard to put in place the necessary safety precautions that would be used on the jobsite. These leaders successfully achieved all the safety concerns for which they fought. This led to a week delay in the implosion of Three Rivers Stadium, and over $850,000 worth of fines!

This is just one of many examples why our unions are important! Local 373 strives to fight for the rights of our members each and every day.
