The Local began holding their steward recertification and regular classes this month. Recertification classes were held on Saturday May 8 and Saturday May 15. New steward classes were held on Saturday & Sunday, May 22 & 23.
Business Manager John McManus feels that being a union steward is a very important role for a member. Classes are held to make sure that our members are qualified to accept such an important responsibility. Stewards are the eyes & ears of the local union. Maintaining our jurisdiction, accurate record-keeping, & respectability is of utmost importance to the Business Manager and his agents.
