RECENT PROJECTS
On this page, you will find some of our more
recent projects. As you will see, our projects are diverse. From
performing demolition work at the old Children's Hospital, to
constructing the outdoor ice rink at Heinz Field, our members work hard
each and every day to reshape this city and county. Our skills and
training are put to the test in almost every aspect of building
construction, repair, and maintenance, as we take pride in looking back
at the jobs we've been involved in and saying to ourselves "I did this"!

STATE OFFICE BUILDING
Bristol is doing demo at the site of the former State office
building downtown. Demolition, as well as adding a new floor, is being
done to accommodate new condos in the building.

NORALCO AT MERCY HOSPITAL
Noralco Construction is performing work at Mercy Hospital
downtown.

HILL DISTRICT YMCA PROJECTS DISPLAYS
DIVERSITY
This recent news article in the Currier talks about a project
in the Hill District area of the city. General Contractor P.J. Dick
worked with community leaders and minority sub-contractors to make sure
it was a "community-based" project, one that was designed for, by, and
employed members of the local community. Click on the snapshot to the
left to read the article. Work has started on this project as well.

U2 CONCERT CONSTRUCTION
As many of you are aware, the rock band U2 performed at Heinz
Field on Tuesday, July 26 2011. Erecting a mammoth stage, the band
played to a sellout crowd. The Laborers were called to help set up and break down
the stage afterward.

GOODWILL BUILDING
Noralco is performing demolition at the old Goodwill Building
on the South Side.
|
|
|
CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL IN OAKLAND
The demolition of the former Children's Hospital in Oakland
has begun. The structure is being brought down by Noralco Construction,
employing several Local #373 members. A new Children's has been been
constructed in Lawrenceville.

MANSIONS ON FIFTH - SHADYSIDE
Jendoco Construction was the general contractor at a project
called the Mansions on Fifth in Shadyside. It was an "Erect Fund" job,
using pension money from all the building trades. The use of our pension
funds as an investment guarantees that all work is performed by union
members working for union contractors.

MERCY HOSPITAL
Bristol Environmental employed several Local #373 members at
Mercy Hospital. Bristol sub-contracted the demolition work from Rycon
Construction.
